Unique and wonderful atmosphere. Personnel are all delightful. Food selections are wonderful... Fish n Chips, Reuben and then there's my favorite The Sheppard Pie. I really enjoy the nice selection of Rotating Craft Brews on tap.

The customer service is always fast, awesome vibes, kind staff. Will come back again when I get in the area.

Had my daughter’s baby shower there today and it was fantastic! Heather and staff made sure all 23 ladies enjoyed a wonderful brunch and did not kick us out when we went 45 minutes over scheduled time. Food was extremely generous and delicious! So grateful for the flexibility with food and timing. This is you go to place for an event! Thanks Heather!

I admire this spot! They provide splendid dishes, they have a nice menu, The chef in that place is a real pro, I love a lot tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always of high class, the attitude towards the clients is helpful. I often eat in this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend this place.

• Nice service, attentive and polite. The place is pretty small, so it's kind of tough for them to forget about you, which is a good thing. Not a pushy service, which I appreciate, I hate being pushed to drink. Even though I didn't actually have any alcohol, I noticed guests at our table weren't pushed to drink more, but didn't have their glasses empty either.• Food wasn't anything special to be honest, at least my plate. I had a sandwich and fries. The sandwich was flavorful, but my fries came out pretty cold. I understand it must be tough to get all different foods out at the same time, but 2 out of 3 had sandwiches with fries, so those should come out piping hot, not cold. Might be back for the atmosphere and what looked like a fairly stocked bar, just might not eat here.

Pretzel bites were very good and I actually really liked their beer cheese that goes with them. Sometimes people really mess that up but they did a decent job of it. Burger was tasty but I wish the bun was softer. Kinda hard and the wings were also rather good but not the best in the area. They were cooked well but the dry rub was not very flavorful. Small things that could be improved but overall a decent experience.

Celtic food and fresh large portions. Great beer, wine, spirits selection. Needed this place so badly. Must try is the toffee cake if you have room for dessert. Every item I have had is perfectly prepared, presented.The staff is very attentive and friendly.Would say I felt at home here but I don't have that many TVs( or Alcohol selection🤣)

The Fish and Chips as well as the Celtic Fish sandwich were melt in your mouth delicious, the Buck Ballz and beer cheese were very nice with a smoky bacon-y flavor and the bartenders really know their drinks! Highly recommend!

Our Scotch eggs were served in a bowl instead of on a plate, like the person next to us, and had no dipping sauce. The fish was bland, the fries were cold and soggy. Shepherds pie was amazing and enjoyed the atmosphere. We'll visit again in the future after dinner for drinks only.

It's not been open for a time, but I know that I (As well as many others) check in frequently in anticipation to be able to pull up a seat and enjoy the wonderful rotating beer selection, delicious food, and amazing pub atmosphere.

Greeat food. Love the great Irish beer, apps and who knew, salads. Yum. Blue cheese dressing is the bomb. Love the white balsamic. Lively atmosphere. Good for well behaved kids

We tried this place on a whim and am very glad we did. We started with the buck bites. You can see they are little pretzel nuggets shaped like buckeyes. They come with awesome bier cheese on the side. They were hot, light and crispy. Then I had shepherd's pie and it was really good. The potatoes on top were crispy outside and fluffy inside. I did get a side of sour cream. My husband got the Reuben. It had real corned beef not deli corned beef. He was thrilled. It had an amazing slaw that was a nice crispy crunch. Then we had the sticky toffee cake. Light, crispy perfection. 4/5 because no Diet Coke. They have Pepsi products. Erica was our server and she was great. Really knew what she was doing and knows the menu inside and out. Bottom line is if you want good fresh Celtic food that's made from scratch with attentive friendly service then give it a try!

With a large selection of Irish food. The fish and chips were excellent along with the shepherd's pie. Killer cheeseburger in about seven different varieties. Never too crowded and they have amazing homemade french fries. Nice people nice place.

Two years in a row we have come after the faire. It's fantastic! Liquor selection is great, food is very authentic but with some nice twists. Can't wait to go back

This is a pretty interesting food place. I'm only docking them 1 star for their pricing as the food dishes are pretty aggressively priced. The food quality and variety is very good, and the selection of scotch here is second to none. Try this place out if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed.

We love the "Stag" its chill, relaxed atmosphere is just what my husband and I like! The service is friendly and the food is delicious! Get there early or make reservations, the nights they have music and it just adds to the experience!

Omg this is the best place ever! I found it on a whim and it was fabulous! I've told everyone I know how great their scotch eggs are and the fish is out of this world! I haven't eaten fish in 10 years so I broke my fish fast for this place because it looked so amazing and it was sooooooo worth it! Today is the second time I've been and I'm in love! You absolutely can't leave without the scotch toffee pudding!

Who are the crazies that gave this place a 4 star... It's like 5++++++! Absolutely delicious food. Going home with some can't wait for leftovers :) We'll definitely be back.

Springboro's hidden gem of a pub. Amazing authentic Scottish recipes. The Scotch eggs and buc balls alone are worth going for. Always have great beer on tap and an extensive list of scotch, whiskey, and burbon.

This place is very nice. The best salad is one of the best salads you will ever have. The fish is prepared perfectly and the fries are wonderful. Service is top notch. Great experience.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were there for a first drink celebrating a bachelor/bachelorette get together, and ended there for two hours. The food is excellent for comfort. The corn beef poutine is amazing. Also, get the pretzel nuggets with beer cheese. I would not recommend the toasties, but I'm sure some things are a work in progress. The owners are present and on the floor which is a big plus in my book. They take their investment seriously. Not just in their product, but also in the people that come through their doors.

Had our first experience at the highland stag last night. scotch eggs were really good, didnt care for the chutney that accompanied them. but I've never been much of a pickled foods kinda girl. wedge salad was amazing thanks to that wonderful blue cheese! the Reuben had good flavor and the slaw in place of kraut was super good, though the corned beef portion left us searching. I would've preferred less slaw and more beef. overall, great experience. oh, and for those who dine, tip generously because the service is outstanding and they definitely deserve it!

The Stag is the closest place in the entire Dayton-Cin area that feels like an authentic "pub." The food is pretty good—much better than average local bar food! The beer and liquor selection is also very good, you can find that special whiskey you've heard of. The staff seems genuinely experienced and informed about what they offer, ask them about Monkey Shoulder:)

Love love love this place. They make you feel like a regular, even if you're not. Amazing corned beef, either on reuben or as part of the corned beef dinner. Garlic blue cheese dressing is oh so good.

Friendly service, good food, great lineup of beer taps. Very casual neighborhood pub feel.

So first time eating here .service was great tried the scotch eggs they were good. Ordered the steak dinner, would not order again steak wasnt cooked med well more on the medium side which I didn't say anything ,but it was tough and no flavor lol. Wont be ordering that again. Probably safe to stick to salad or a sandwich.

The best authentic Guinness to be had this side of the Atlantic, and a scratch-kitchen serving up the tastiest pub fare you could ask for! Lively Celtic music is often on the schedule, a cozy atmosphere abounds, and all of this nestled in the heart of Springboro. Slainte'!

Food is very good. The night we stopped in it looked like there was only 1 person working the floor so service took a while but food still very good.

This is surely one of the coolest restaurants in the region. Every time I go there I am highly pleased. They hold their very high level service and the topmost level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Highly recommended.

We LOVE this place. I have never had anything there that wasn't absolutely delicious. I am a little sad that it seems like they've changed their gravy recipe from a brown one to more of a white one. The brown gravy was the most delicious gravy I've ever had in my life. They almost always have a cider or two on tap, which is great because I don't like beer. The staff is incredibly nice and attentive. And even though it is a pub, they're always welcoming and accommodating for kids/toddlers too.My biggest wishes for this place would be that they would move into a bigger space and that they would disallow smoking at their outside tables.But even without those changes, they EASILY get 5 stars from our family.

Drove a half hour just to come here, but they are closed despite their website and Google listing their hours as open.

Have you ever been a place where management is overly friendly and accommodating with everyone save 2 for 3 tables? The food was delicious, our server was great. However, at some point you have to stop and wonder if management decides on a whim that certain tables aren't worth their time or attention. It's a busy enough establishment currently that they won't feel our absence. Hopefully their regular clientele doesn't find a new place or I doubt their residual traffic will keep them afloat.
